Meals on Wheels Driver
Our greatest need right now is for Route Drivers and Substitute Drivers. In just 60–90 minutes during the weekday lunch hour, you'll deliver more than a meal — you'll provide a friendly visit and wellness check that helps older adults remain safe and independent. Volunteer drivers pick up food and a route sheet of 8–10 stops at the Church of the Resurrection Brookside (5144 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO, 64113).

NEW: Patient Navigator Program
We're launching a new Patient Navigator Program and are looking for compassionate volunteers to provide weekly phone support to older adults for approximately 3–4 months.
Commitment:
- About 2 hours per week
- One-time 3-hour training
- No healthcare experience required — we'll provide the training you need!

Adventures in Learning Volunteers
Our Adventures in Learning program is growing, and we're looking for volunteers to:
- Teach or present on a favorite topic
- Help with event setup and teardown
- Welcome guests and assist with event coordination

Phone Pal
- Volunteers are needed to maintain ongoing contact with clients through friendly phone calls, helping socially isolated individuals stay connected. For more information, visit the program page.
Meals On Wheels
- Volunteer drivers pick up food and a route sheet with 8-10 stops at the Church of the Resurrection, Brookside at Historic Central, 5144 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64113. Volunteers are provided a route sheet that includes the addresses and contact information for the day. Clients often tell us that it’s waiting for their “person” more than waiting for the meal. This provides opportunities for socially isolated individuals who may be without transportation, family, or ease of mobility to maintain social connections while receiving a hot meal. Office Assistant/Receptionist
- Lend a hand with daily office tasks and keep KC Shepherd’s Center running smoothly! We’re looking for friendly volunteers to help with filing, phone calls, data entry, mailings, and more. Your behind-the-scenes support makes a big impact on our mission to serve older adults.
