Catherine Hunt, 70
Catherine’s nominator says she is the “quintessential volunteer,” donating a total of more than 600 volunteer hours per year. She is the President of Kansas City Church Women United, supporting all opportunities to serve the Kansas City community. Organizations she serves include Friendship Baptist Church, Della Lamb Center, Happy Bottoms, Salvation Army, Harvesters, State and National Congress of Christian Education and the National Baptist Conventions. Her volunteer activities are diverse, ranging from bell ringer and sorter of diapers to Vacation Bible School teaching and chairing committees for national organizations. She assists with Della Lamb’s mission to support the needs of refugees from a number of countries.
