Jackie Jordan
Jackie Jordan, 75
Jackie recently retired for the second time from United Way 211 and MARC Aging and Adult Services, where she served as a Community Resource Navigator. In this role, Jackie helped folks find resources and referrals for help in paying rent and utility bills, mental health resources, food pantries, senior transportation programs and much more. What set Jackie apart was her dedication and tenacity in advocating tirelessly for each caller – she treated each caller as if they were the most important person she would talk to that day. Jackie never let her vision problems affect her performance and she was a champion in embracing new and adaptive technology. Prior to working at United Way 211, Jackie retired from the US Postal Service. She has two sons and several four-legged fur babies. Last but not least, Jackie is an accomplished cook; her nominator says, “Everyone eagerly looked forward to her contributions to office potlucks.”
