Jim Chappell

Jim Chappell, 82

Jim has received national acclaim as owner of Chappell’s Restaurant and Sports Museum. His collection of sports memorabilia has been named one of the best in America. Jim was named by the Kansas City Star as one of the 25 people who made Kansas City a better sports town and was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. In addition to his far-reaching work in the sports world, Jim serves the community as the longest-serving member of the Clay County Election Board, having served under four Missouri governors. He also has a great interest in the arts and is a member of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and is a Clay County Fine Arts Commissioner. Jim says the only reason he has been successful in business is because of his wife Gina and his family.
