Reverend Dr. Robert Hill
Reverend Dr. Robert Lee Hill, age 71
Robert is Minister Emeritus of Community Christian Church in Kansas City, where he served as a minister for 30 years. Born in Honolulu, he was ordained in 1981 and holds a DD degree from Christian Theological Seminary. He has spoken as keynoter and lecturer at conferences and retreats across the U.S. He has served the wider local community in numerous roles, including the boards of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Jewish Vocational Services, and the Jackson County Freedom Wall Commission, and as co-chair (with Judy Hellman and Rick Hellman) of the GKC Martin Luther King Interfaith Service. He was a founding co-chair of MORE2 (Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity). Since 1993, he has been a co-host of the renowned radio show, “Religion on the Line,” on KCMO-Talk Radio, now independently broadcast as a national podcast. He is the author/editor of eleven books, including, most recently, "Life Is To Be Celebrated." His nominator says, "In retirement, Dr. Hill is the most active person I know!"
