Steve Clurman, age 79

Steve has been an active volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program for many years. He initiated Meals on Wheels at Ford Hotel Supply Company, where he worked in 2006, and then continued to support the program when he moved to Washington in 2012. Today, he is actively involved in KCSC’s Meals on Wheels program. During the pandemic, he also delivered prescriptions to patients who couldn’t leave their home. A native of KCMO, Steve’s career has spanned a wide variety of areas, including the railroad, the food, beverage and entertainment industry, sales and restaurant supply and equipment distribution. In retirement, he enjoys gardening, landscape design, RVing and camping. He’s also an avid cyclist, fisherman and passionate cook. He also serves as an usher at Church of the Resurrection in Brookside, and  says, “I’m going back to work full-time relocating automobiles for auction houses. I love to stay busy!”
