Susan Goldenberg
Susan Goldenberg, 72
Susan is a professional violinist who has been a member of the first violin section of the Kansas City Symphony for more than 40 years. She has participated in the music festivals at Tanglewood, Grand Teton, and Yale at Norfolk among many. She and her pianist brother William have performed as the Goldenberg Duo throughout the U.S. and in Italy, Paris, England, China, and more. In addition to her career work, Susan often performs with the Community Connections Initiative and teaches at education programs throughout the country. She performs in the Kinnor Philharmonic in Overland Park, dedicated to Jewish/classical music. During the COVID pandemic, when the Symphony could not perform, she put together a series of free “balcony concerts” for anyone who wanted to come by her apartment and listen. When not involved in music, Susan volunteers at the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and with the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.
